Dear Parents / Guardians,
An announcement was made this morning (Thurs 12.03.20) by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar TD of the closure of schools, pre-schools and further and higher education settings, for a period until 29 March 2020, to support efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19. This will take effect from 6pm this evening, Thursday 12 March.This is in line with the advice of the National Public Health Emergency Team.

The end of year is almost upon us and it is a very busy time in school. School closes for Summer Holidays on Friday 29th June and re-opens on Monday 3rd September.

Today, Slieverue N.S. performed 2 numbers in Competition 1 in the AIMS Choral Festival. This is the first time ever that we have entered this festival. We scored a massive 87% and received some very positive feedback from the adjudicators. Recordings of the performances can be found under the 'Photos' tab on this website.

50th Anniversary Celebration
Our school is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To celebrate this special occasion, the Board of Management has organised a Mass of Thanksgiving which will take place in the Church of the Assumption, Slieverue, on Saturday 8th October at 6.30pm. First Confession, for 2nd Class, will take place on Tuesday 7th February at 7.30pm.
Confirmation, for 6th Class, will take place on Saturday 6th May at 11am.
